In May 2004, the name Quality Keys and Engravers was born as my wife Sarah and I took over the lock and key shop. In October of that year, we decided it was time to grow the business once more, and we moved to our current, bigger location within the mall. This allowed us to grow into Horowhenua’s largest key cutting, locksmithing, trophy, and engraving business. And yes, we still repair shoes!
With Dad's retirement in 2008, I bought the name Ken’s Keys along with the van. Over the following years we have continued to grow and expand Quality Keys. In 2010, we bought a new van to replace Dad's red Mr KEY van to provide Horowhenua with a more modern and up-to-date mobile locksmith service on wheels. In 2019, we expanded the business further to include security screen door and fly screen installation, and added a specialist automotive locksmith van, which once again was the first of its kind in Horowhenua, servicing customers from Himatangi to Te Horo. We now have dedicated team of six across all parts of the business.
